متن کاملLigninolytic enzymes of the white-rot fungus Phlebia radiata.
One oxidase (EC 1.10.3.2) and three lignin peroxidases (EC 1.11.1.-) were purified from the culture liquid of the white-rot fungus Phlebia radiata Fr. All the enzymes were glycoproteins. The oxidase had Mr 64,000 and the lignin peroxidases I, II and III had Mr values 42,000, 45,000 and 44,000 respectively. The lignin peroxidases were found to share common antigenic determinants: lignin peroxida...
متن کاملMetabolic control of lignocellulose degradation by lignocellulose-degradation microbial community MC1
This study was to reveal the limiting factors of lignocellulose degradation and further improve the potential degradation of microbial community MC1, by pH manual adjustment (pHMA) and culture medium partial replacement (CMPR) during the process of rice straw degradation. The results indicated degradation rate in control (5% rice straw) increased, ranging from 33.3 to 67.5% via pHMA method, and...
متن کاملConversion of milled pine wood by manganese peroxidase from Phlebia radiata.
Purified manganese peroxidase (MnP) from the white-rot basidiomycete Phlebia radiata was found to convert in vitro milled pine wood (MPW) suspended in an aqueous reaction solution containing Tween 20, Mn(2+), Mn-chelating organic acid (malonate), and a hydrogen peroxide-generating system (glucose-glucose oxidase). The enzymatic attack resulted in the polymerization of lower-molecular-mass, solu...
متن کاملTime-scale dynamics of proteome and transcriptome of the white-rot fungus Phlebia radiata: growth on spruce wood and decay effect on lignocellulose
BACKGROUND The white-rot Agaricomycetes species Phlebia radiata is an efficient wood-decaying fungus degrading all wood components, including cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin. We cultivated P. radiata in solid state cultures on spruce wood, and extended the experiment to 6 weeks to gain more knowledge on the time-scale dynamics of protein expression upon growth and wood decay. Total proteom...
